Short versionI hail from Calamba City, Philippines where I was in the seminary for two years after high school. I chased a physics career after.
I studied at the National Institute of Physics, University of the Philippines where I received my BS (2015) and MS (2017) degrees under Perry Esguerra. I joined the NIP Gravity Group (supervised by Ian Vega) in 2018 for my PhD and was awarded my doctoral degree in 2020. I worked as an Instructor (2015-2020) and Assistant Professor (2021) at the University of the Philippines and am currently a postdoc (2021-present) at the Institute of Physics, Academia Sinica. More information is available in my CV. Outside of physics, I am interested in simply long chats about life and its beauty, while drinking. I play chess and take opportunities to hike. Above all, I love to spend time watching movies, series (shoutout to Mr. Robot fans), and anime. All time best: Whiplash (Movie), Mr. Robot (TV Series), The Office US (Sitcom), FMA Brotherhood (Anime). Full name: Reginald Christian Bernardo Profession: Physicist Field: Cosmology |
